  1. The author of Inheritance is a young home-schooled kid from up the Clark Fork valley near Missoula. I also note that "Hornet's Nest" is not a book that stands alone; reading the books in order is essential, beginning with "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." And...I would strongly recommend reading the books before seeing the movie, and the sexual violence/forcible anal rape in these books is not suitable for a child.

  2. A child no, but a teenager on the brink of adulthood.. has more room to work. YA books have changed so much over the years and they really should be rated... if rated is the word.. It's just that a book such as Harry Potter or Lightening Thief is written for one end of the scale.. 11, 12 year olds and Hornet's nest for the other..

It just seems that YA tries to address the entire teenage span and we know how very much kids change during that time..

Yeah, Christopher Paolini is an amazing young man..
